FREIHEIT – FREEDOM
a unique limited edition of 10 digital art prints; printed on photo paper; the original work was created 2014 due a personal invitation of Connie Noyes, conceptual Artist and her ARG – Artists respond globally – Art Project; artists from different nations and continents were taken part ; This Piece of Work has been exhibited amongst all others at the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago, USA during my personal Artist Residency in October 2014;
a short story about about the intention of the artwork and the release of a limited edition of this special artwork.
This Piece resonates also with October 3rd, the Day of German Unity > Wir sind ein Volk
If we look deeper, then this attitude – we are a nation – is less due to our German culture, which now does not regard itself as one nation any longer, but increasingly to the inner instability of our human state globally;
This attitude to life, to be human, to change and feel the related liberality, is undoubtedly the healthier one now, especially in the last few years and months, when inner conflict and greater superficiality in our interpersonal connections are becoming more and more frequent; from an artist point of view – indeed, artists endeavor to achieve freedom via their artistic expression—or at least they try.
